Gerchman is an Operations Manager for Nationwide Credit Inc. and serves as the Treasurer for the Constance Foundation. When asked to bring his background to the foundation, he eagerly agreed. Gerchman, M. is a 10-year cancer survivor who knows the importance of resources and treatment. Having lost his best friend and golf partner to leukemia in May 2013, Gerchman, M. relived the struggles and heart ache of the patient and families when faced with cancer.
Gerchman was elected to the Binghamton City Council in 2005 serving the constituents of the Binghamton’s West Side until 2011. During his tenure with the Binghamton City Council he served as Council President during 2008, 2009 and 2010. Additionally he worked as the Deputy Budget Director Broome County from 2009-2011. Gerchman, M. currently serves as the Treasurer of the Broome County Democratic Committee, he has filled this role since 2006.
Gerchman graduated from SUNY Brockport with a Bachelors degree in Political Science. He spent several years living in New York, NY working in the hospitality industry. Additionally, he spent ten years living in the Netherlands working for the US ARMY as a civilian.
Gerchman, M. resides in Binghamton, NY. His interests include family, golf and travel. He is a freelance photographer.
